For his prodigious community work and contributions to society, Mason has received numerous awards and recognitions.
Mason was the recipient of
- the title of Honorary Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2006,
- Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal for Community Service in 2002, and
- Volunteer Vancouver’s Award for Leadership in 2000.
He was named a Queen’s Counsel by the Attorney General of B.C., the Law Courts and the Law Society in 1998 for his professionalism and exceptional contributions to the society.
